Indiana basketball is gearing up for their most important game up to this point in the season thus far with the No. 2 ranked Kansas Jayhawks coming into town on Saturday.

With the magnitude of this game as the Hoosiers look to gain their first signature win of the 2023-24 season and what the atmosphere of Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall will be like, lots of the key Indiana basketball targets want to, and will, be in attendance to check out this incredible matchup including confirmed names such as 2025 five-stars Joson Sanon and Bryson Tiller as well as four-star forward Trent Sisley.

In the five home games that Indiana basketball has had so far this season, multiple high school prospects have already made the trip to Bloomington to catch a game however those have mostly been underclassmen that have not received offers yet.

As Mike Woodson and Indiana basketball look to continue to build for the future with their recruiting classes, this weekend vs Kansas is a pivotal one with the high-caliber prospects that will be in attendance.

Below is a breakdown of each player that will be in attendance for Indiana basketball vs No. 2 Kansas. (Please note: There is expected to be more names confirmed to be in attendance before Saturday.)

Trent Sisley

For this visit primer, it is a safe bet to start off with a high school prospect that most Indiana basketball fans are well aware with, 2025 four-star forward Trent Sisley. Sisley, who attends Heritage Hills High School (Lincoln City, IN), has built a strong relationship with the Indiana basketball ever since Mike Woodson and his staff extended an offer to him before he even played a single high school game nearly three years ago.

Sisley has visited Bloomington many times over the past three years and has been a player that you almost regularly see at multiple Indiana basketball games throughout the season. His most recent visit came during Hoosier Hysteria this past October where he and multiple local Indiana targets where in attendance.

The 6-foot-7 versatile forward has stated off his junior season at Heritage Hills (4-1) on a high note averaging a double-double of 24.4 points and 12.4 rebounds through five games thus far. Over the summer, Sisley played for Indy Heat 17U as part of the EYBL circuit alongside fellow Indiana basketball target, 2025 five-star guard Jalen Haralson. Sisley averaged 13.4 points and 7.5 rebounds per game. He shot an outstanding 58.0% (91-of-157) from the field which included 44.7% (21-of-47) from three. This coming AAU season however, Sisley announced that he will be playing for Indiana Elite as part of the Adidas 3SSB Circuit next AAU season with fellow 2025 Indiana basketball targets Malachi Moreno and Braylon Mullins.

Sisley has shown constant improvement in his overall game over the past year and still plays with that elite versatile combination of athleticism, agility, and power around the rim. He is very good about knocking down the outside jumper while also having the ability to take his defender off the dribble and score through contact. He has proven that he can be a threat both in the post and at the wing on both offense and defense due to his high athleticism and skill.

He is currently rated as the No. 51 overall player in the 2025 247Sports Composite Rankings. Other schools that are involved with Sisley’s recruitment along with Indiana basketball include Purdue, Michigan State, Iowa, Wisconsin, Notre Dame, and Northwestern. Hoosiers assistant coach Brian Walsh has been the leader in Sisley’s recruitment.

Joson Sanon

One of the two five-stars that will be in attendance this weekend that is one of the ‘newer’ players sitting in the top tier of Indiana basketball’s radar is 6-foot-5 wing Joson Sanon. Indiana basketball extended an offer to Sanon last month. This weekend will be an official visit for Sanon, HoosierIllustrated.com was the first to report.

Sanon, who attends Vermont Academy (Vt), is ranked the No. 10 overall prospect in the 2025 class and the No. 2 small forward in the class. Because of his play this summer, he was one of the biggest risers in summer. While Sanon is currently in the 2025 class, there has been some talk about a potential reclassification up to the class of 2024. Indiana currently has one signee, Liam McNeeley, for the 2024 class.

Playing up with the 17U division with Expressions Elite, he averaged 14.6 points per game while shooting 40.8 percent from the field and 37.1 percent (36-of-97) from three during the regular season. He also added 3.4 rebounds and 1.5 assists. He also had four 20+ point games. He played part of his summer with BABC on the AAU circuit and will be with them again next summer.

Sanon has a highly athletic build to his frame with the strength and speed to go with it. Plays with an extreme amount of bounce on both ends of the floor which helps him be a true rim protector and a player that can beat the defense consistently and finish above the rim. He has shown an ability to shoot the outside jumper but is at his best when he can attack the defense on or off the ball, play through contact physically, and find out a crafty way to finish around the rim. Defensively, he is able to guard spots 1-3 and has the motor and quickness to compete on that end. He has the build and intangibles to be ready for the college level right now.

Along with Indiana basketball, he currently holds offers from over a dozen programs including Alabama, Kansas, Oklahoma State, LSU, Arizona, Syracuse, Providence and many others. Both assistant coaches Kenya Hunter and Yasir Rosemond are heavily involved with Sanon’s recruitment.

Bryson Tiller

The other five-star prospect that will be in attendance this weekend when the Hoosiers host No. 2 Kansas is 6-foot-9 forward Bryson Tiller. He is coming off an official visit to Kansas this past weekend. This will be an official visit this weekend, as well.

There has also been some talk about a potential reclassification into the 2024 class as well with Tiller. The five-star forward is an Atlanta, Georgia native and is currently rated as the No. 6 overall player in the 247Sports Composite Rankings. Mike Woodson has major ties to the Atlanta area due to his coaching experience there and with assistant coach Yasir Rosemond, who is a Georgia native as well. Indiana basketball players Kaleb Banks and Jakai Newton are from the Georgia area, as well.

He currently plays for Overtime Elite where he is currently averaging a double-double of 11.0 points and 11.7 rebounds in three games this season. He is currently shooting 44.9 percent from the field. Tiller played up with Atl Xpress 17U over this past summer.

Tiller is a highly athletic forward that has great size and length at his position. He is one of the best in the class at getting to his spots and finishing at all three levels of the floor. The 6-foot-9 forward is great about taking his defender off the dribble and scoring off the catch. While he can play off the ball, he has proven to be his best on the ball when he can create his own look. As a defender, his athletic ability and length make him lockdown at times. Tiller would be a perfect fit for Mike Woodson as he looks for more athletic, long forwards that can create their own shot.

Along with Indiana basketball, Tiller currently has over 20 offers from schools such as Alabama, Auburn, Cincinnati, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Houston, Louisville, North Carolina, Michigan, USC, Villanova, Virginia Xavier, and many others.

Malachi Moreno

Moreno is ranked the No. 62 overall in the 247Sports Composite Rankings.

Indiana offered Moreno in October of 2022. He has visited Indiana three times with his most recent visit coming this past September.

Listed at 7-foot-1, Moreno is one of the rising bigs in the 2025 class nationally. During his sophomore year at Great Crossing High School (KY), he averaged 14.8 points, 11.2 rebounds and 4.8 blocks per game. He also shot 64% from the field overall and 62% from the free throw line.

When looking at true, athletic bigs that have great length, Moreno fits that description. While his frame and weight aren’t the strongest points of his game, his athletic ability and footwork make him excellent around the basket. He is not someone that can go out and stretch the floor consistently right now, but he is a great pick-and-roll big that loves to finish above the rim.

Moreno also plays for Indiana Elite 2025 as part of the Adidas 3SSB circuit. He is teammates with fellow 2025 Indiana basketball recruiting targets Braylon Mullins  and four-star power forward Trent Sisley.

He also has visited Arkansas, Michigan, Notre Dame, and Tennessee in the month of September. Along with the listed visits, schools such as Purdue, Kentucky, Missouri, Cincinnati, Ohio State, Iowa, Xavier, Arkansas, NC State, and other are also involved in his recruitment.
