Despite Indiana basketball falling to Kansas in a tough loss, the Hoosiers were able to have multiple high-level prospects in attendance this past Saturday. One player, who was there on an unofficial visit, was able to secure an offer from the Indiana basketball program.

It was announced per the Midwest Basketball Club Twitter account, 2026 four-star guard Jonathan Sanderson coming off his visit to Bloomington. This was his second visit to Indiana. Sanderson plays on the Midwest Basketball Club AAU program, who is the same program that produced Indiana basketball freshman guard Gabe Cupps and Kentucky freshman guard Reed Sheppard.

Sanderson is the son of Michigan basketball Strength and Conditioning Coach Jon Sanderson. He has been there since 2009.

Jonathan Sanderson, who attends Saline High School (MI), is coming off a freshman year where he averaged 19.3 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 1.5 steals per game. He was named 2nd Team AP All-State.

The 6-foot-3 guard is a true combo guard that can play both on and off the ball consistently. A natural scorer at all levels, Sanderson is a highly athletic guard with great floor IQ to be able to create for himself and his teammates. Very good shooter both on the pull-up and off the catch with deep range.

Along with Indiana basketball, Sanderson has offers from Purdue, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Michigan, Iowa, Illinois, and others.
