One of the most talented combo guards in the 2025 class is still keeping tabs on Indiana basketball and wants to return to campus for another visit.

5-star guard Meleek Thomas has already visited Indiana a few times but wants to return for an official visit this summer.

“I want to go to take more official visits,” Thomas told Rivals national analyst Rob Cassidy. “I’m going to take officials to UConn, Arkansas and Indiana.”

Right now there is no specific date is set for Indiana, however.

Thomas plays for Lincoln Park (Pa.) and averaged 23.5 points, 10.8 rebounds, 5.8 assists and 3.3 steals per game as a junior. Over the weekend during the first EYBL event, Thomas averaged 18.3 points, 6.0 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game playing for the New York Lightning.

His consistency over the past two years has been evident and that shows up whether he’s in a high school game, playing on the EYBL circuit or at other signature events throughout the summer. Last summer, Thomas was a standout performer at the USA Basketball minicamp.

“Meleek Thomas is another one of those guys whose energy just leaps out at you,” 247Sports national analyst Eric Bossi wrote. “It’s hard not to watch him when he’s on the floor and like Peterson above, he’s a certified bucket getter. Thomas is more quick than bouncy and uses that quickness to exploit holes in the defense. He’s streaky from deep but never afraid to let it fly.”

Thomas had previously announced a top-12 consisting of Indiana basketball, Kentucky, Kansas, Duke, Auburn, UConn, Kansas State, Tennessee, Pittsburgh, Michigan, Miami and Villanova. Moving later into the summer, he intends to cut that list.

With coaching changes that have impacted Kentucky, Arkansas, Michigan and some others, there appears to be some wiggle room for programs to get more involved.

“Great staff and great program,” Thomas previously said of Indiana to HoosierIllustrated.com. “With coach Woody being in the pros for so long and sharing his knowledge and them just being so supportive already is a great impression.”

In the 2025 class, Thomas is ranked as the No. 6 overall player in the 247Sports composite rankings.
