Indiana football kicks off week five of the season as it travels to College Park to face the Maryland Terrapins. Indiana is 2-2 on the season while Maryland comes into week five 4-0.

Last week, Indiana football beat to Akron 29-27 in 4OT and is looking to bounce back in their first true road game of the season after a disappointing performance in week four..

Kick is set for 3:30 pm on Big Ten Network.

Pregame Notes

RB Josh Henderson, WR EJ Williams, TE Bradley Archer, OL Max Longman, DB Jamier Johnson all out for Indiana.

WR Donaven McCulley, TE James Bomba, OL Bray Lynch, DB Nic Toomer and DB Louis Moore are all questionable for Indiana.

DB Louis Moore, WR Donaven McCulley and TE James Bomba are active today.

First Quarter

Indiana wins the toss and defers so they will get the ball to start the 2nd half.

Indiana has a massive coverage breakdown on the first play of the game and Taulia Tagovailoa hits Jeshaun Jones for 62 yards. Two plays later Maryland goes up 7-0 on the Tai Felton 15 yard TD reception.

A 56 yard kick return from Jaylin Lucas sets Indiana up inside the Maryland 40. Indiana settles for 3 after the drive stalls inside the 10. Maryland leads 7-3 with 9:54 left in the 1st quarter.

After a special teams penalty set Maryland up on the IU 28, Taulia Tagovailoa hits Tai Felton again, this time for a 28 yard TD. Maryland leads 14-3

After another penalty on special teams, Taulia Tagovailoa runs it in from the 19 to extend the Maryland lead to 21-3 with 2:43 left in the 1st quarter.

End of the 1st quarter: Maryland 21 Indiana 3

Second Quarter

Indiana is stopped on 4th and 6 inside the the red zone after Tayven Jackson’s pass is incomplete. Maryland takes over from their own 14 with 8:09 remaining in the first half.

Indiana goes for it on 4th and 1 from the Maryland 39 and Tayven Jackson is sacked for an 11 yard loss. Maryland takes over at the 50 with 1:02 left in the half.

Taulia Tagovailoa hits Tai Felton for the 9 yard TD (3rd TD this half for Felton). Indiana trails 27-3 after Maryland misses the PAT.

Tayven Jackson’s pass hits off the hands of Lucas and is picked off by Fa’Najae Gotay with 13 seconds left in the half.

End of the 1st half: Maryland 27 Indiana 3

Third Quarter

Indiana starts with the ball on their own 23 and goes three and out. Indiana fakes the punt but doesn’t get it. Maryland takes over on the IU 32.

Indiana gets the stop but Maryland drills the 44 yard FG attempt to increase their lead to 30-3 with 11:23 left in the 3rd.

Taulia Tagovailoa throws his 4th TD of the game. This time to Dylan Wade for 3 yards. Maryland leads 37-3 with 7:08 left in the 3rd quarter.

End of the 3rd quarter: Maryland 37 Indiana 3

Fourth Quarter

Indiana blocks the Maryland field goal and returns it past the 50.

After a successful 4th down conversion, Indiana scores their first TD of the game. Brendan Sorsby hits Donaven McCulley for 11 yards. Indiana trails 37-10.

On 4th and 1, Taulia Tagovailoa hits Kaden Prather for the 14 yard TD. Maryland leads 44-10

Andison Coby scores on the 16 yard pass from Brendan Sorsby with 25 seconds left. Maryland leads 44-17
