On Wednesday afternoon, 247Sports revealed its final Class of 2024 player rankings and the Indiana basketball program once again signed one of the top players in the nation.

McDonald’s All-American wing Bryson Tucker finished No. 28 overall in the final rankings. It marks the third highest-rated prospect to sign with Indiana under Mike Woodson (Mackenzie Mgbako, Jalen Hood-Schifino).

The 6-foot-7 wing committed to Indiana on March 28 following his official visit to IU. He chose the Hoosiers over Michigan State, Kansas and formerly the NBA G-League Ignite. He was expected to go the Ignite route before the program was shut down earlier this year.

“When I went there the culture and everything that I witnessed I just really liked it and the coaching staff is like a pro coaching staff so they know where I’m trying to get to and can help me get there,” Tucker said of Indiana at McDonald’s All-American Media Day last month.

Tucker was named honorable mention to the 2024 Naismith Trophy High School All-America Team — the fourth-straight season that Indiana will receive a prospect represented on a Naismith Trophy All America Team.

He is a consensus top-30 prospect in the country and will be the third-straight McDonald’s All-American to play for Indiana basketball.

“Bryson has a chance to be impactful for our ballclub right away,” Woodson said of Tucker. “He has a polished offensive game with the size and strength to get to his spots on the floor. His midrange game is very impressive, and he has the athleticism to get to and score efficiently at the rim. He is a talented young man that we cannot wait to work with when he gets to campus.”

Here is where Tucker ranks among the key recruiting services in the industry.

Tucker will join a transfer class ranked No. 2 overall in the country consisting of Oumar Ballo (No. 2 overall), Kanaan Carlye (No. 17), Myles Rice (No. 26) and Luke Goode (No. 135).

Indiana basketball is coming off of a 19-14 season and missed the NCAA Tournament after two-straight appearances to start Mike Woodson’s tenure with Indiana.
