The portal is officially opened and Indiana basketball is as active as many fans had hoped they would be. Per a report from The Portal Report, Mike Woodson and the Hoosiers have reached out to yet another guard.

The newest player to pop up on Indiana basketball’s portal radar is 6-foot-2 Canisius guard Tre Dinkins. Indiana has already reached out to Penn guard Clark Slajchert, Furman guard Marcus Foster, and Pepperdine forward Michael Ajayi.

Indiana basketball joins school such as Miami (FL), Seton Hall, Oklahoma, Richmond, Geroge Washington, Illinois State, FGCU, and a hot of others to have reached to Dinkins.

Dinkins, a Pennsylvania native, is coming off a junior year where he was All-MAAC third team. He started in 30 of the 32 games he appeared averaging 15.4 points while shooting 41% from the field including 36.5% from three. He also added 3.6 assists and 2.7 rebounds per game, as well.

He played two seasons at Canisius after player his first two years of college basketball at Harcum Junior College (PA). He was named a NJCAA Division Third-Team All-America during his time at Harcum.

Dinkins is a smaller guard that is at his best on the ball where he can create for himself and others. He is very good about playing off of screens and getting his jumper going off the pull-up. He is an extremely quick guard that likes to use his speed going downhill, very similar to Xavier Johnson in that regards.

He has one year of eligibility left.

Below are the full highlights of Canisius transfer guard Tre Dinkins.
