Indiana basketball may be in the middle of the Big Ten Tournament, but they are still very active when it comes to reaching out to players who have already entered the transfer portal.

Earlier this week, Indiana basketball reached out to Penn grad transfer guard Clark Slajchert, who is one of the top transfers in the portal at this point in time. The Hoosiers are remaining active in the guard market as they have reached out to another graduate transfer in the backcourt.

According to 24/7 High School Hoops, Indiana basketball has been one of the schools to reach out to Furman graduate transfer guard Marcus Foster. Schools such as Arkansas, Gonzaga, Texas Tech, Xavier, and others have also reached out.

Foster, an Atlanta, Georgia native, played four seasons at Furman and is a redshirt senior after redshirting his freshman season. This past year, Foster averaged 17.0 points  7.5 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.0 steals per game. He had seven 20+ point scoring games, including two 30-point games. He scored in double-figures in 21 of 24 games.

As a junior, Foster averaged 10.6 points and 5.6 rebounds per game.

He has played in a total of 112 games for Furman with a total of 80 starts.

He is a 6-foot-4 guard that likes to use his size, strength, and athletic ability to make plays. With Indiana in search for dynamic guards that can make plays on the ball, that is who Foster is. While he shot 42.5 percent from the field overall this season, he is not the best when it comes to shooting from deep with an average of just 29.7 percent from three this past year.

In the previous two years, however, Foster shot 36 percent from three on 1.3 makes per game.

Indiana basketball assistant coach Yasir Rosemond is expected to be the leader in this recruitment with his ties to the Atlanta area.

Foster has one year of eligibility remaining.

Below are highlights of Marcus Foster.
