The Indiana football program is set to debut a new uniform combination this Saturday against Akron.

On Monday night, Indiana unveiled its ‘ghost’ jerseys — an all black uniform combination. It will also take place for the blackout for Saturday’s game.

The black jerseys have been long rumored to be coming, but until now, were just that … rumor.

Indiana has worn black jerseys before, but in a much different design. The Hoosiers wore them back in the late 90s. There is no word on if they will be worn again this season.

The Indiana football program is 1-2 on the season, with losses to Ohio State and Louisville. Its lone win came against Indiana State.

Indiana takes on Akron at 7:30 pm. The game is televised on Big Ten Network.
