National top-30 prospect Annor Boateng announced his top eight schools on Saturday and the Indiana basketball program made the cut.

The Little Rock Central (Ark.) wing’s list consisted of Indiana, Arkansas, Auburn, LSU, Ohio State, Virginia Tech, Missouri and Georgia Tech.

Indiana extended an offer to Boateng in April following the first live evaluation period. Brian Walsh and Jordan Hulls watched Boateng numerous times while playing for the Arkansas Hawks on the Adidas 3SSB circuit.

He also spent one weekend playing with Team Griffin on the Nike EYBL Circuit. He averaged 18.5 points on 46 percent (23-of-50) shooting, 6.3 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game. He was 6-of-18 from three and 22-of-26 from the free throw line in four games.

Boateng is a 6-foot-6 wing who is extremely athletic and versatile. He plays with a high motor and is known for his hard-nose play and defensive ability. His offense has flashed throughout this summer, however. While he’s not a high-volume shooter from the perimeter, he shows good form and ability to be an effective three-point shooter.

Boateng was also part of the Adidas Eurocamp this summer where he averaged 11.3 points, 3.7 rebounds and shot 46.2 percent from three.

Right now, Boateng has visited Auburn officially and Missouri and Arkansas unofficially. He’s in the process of setting up additional trips.

“Basically what they plan to do with me, coaching style, the staff and how much they’re involved with helping players,” Boateng told Travis Branham of 247Sports.com of what he’s looking for in a school. “If they’re genuine people and want me to reach my goals and potential then those are my biggest deciding factors.”

Indiana center Kel’el Ware is from Little Rock originally and attended North Little Rock (Ark.).

Boateng is ranked the No. 28 overall prospect in the 247Sports Composite Rankings. He is the 11th ranked small forward and top player in Arkansas.
