The owner of HoosierIllustrated.com, Alec Lasley, joined Indiana Sports Beat Radio on Thursday morning to discuss a lot of topics related to the Indiana basketball program.

Among the topics was a deep dive into the transfer portal options for the Indiana basketball program. The Hoosiers are involved with numerous transfer options at the moment. Not only have they conducted three in-home visits, they have also conducted a few zooms as well.

Currently, Indiana has a good core group of players it is heavily involved with where there is mutual interest.

On Wednesday, Indiana received its first portal commitment with Ball State forward Payton Sparks. He averaged 13.4 points and 8.6 rebounds in 62 career games with the Cardinals across two seasons.

There are currently four available scholarships for the 2023-24 season. That does not include the potential return for Xavier Johnson who is applying for a medical hardship waiver.

Some of the notable transfer targets include: Kadin Shedrick (Virginia), Chris Ledlum (Harvard), Jamison Battle (Minnesota) and Nick Timberlake (Towson).

Below is the full video and discussion from Alec on Indiana Sports Beat.
