Indiana football has landed its quarterback for the 2024 season as Ohio transfer Kurtis Rourke announced his pledge on Thursday afternoon.

Rourke’s top two programs when he entered the transfer portal were Indiana and Wake Forest.

Over the course of 36 games for Ohio, he threw for 7,666 career yards with 50 passing touchdowns and 16 interceptions. In 2022, Rourke threw for 3,257 passing yards, 25 touchdowns and four interceptions before an ACL injury ended his season. He was still named the MAC Offensive Player of the Year.

In 2023, Rourke threw 11 touchdowns and five interceptions along with 2,207 yards while recovering from his knee injury.

In three seasons as a starter, he totaled 795 rushing yards with 11 touchdowns.

Rourke is a very consistent player under center with terrific accuracy. He has a career completion percentage of 66.3. His career best was 69.1 percent in 2022.

Rourke joins the Indiana football program with one year of eligibility left.

He becomes the sixth commitment under the new Indiana football coaching staff and second transfer. Wake Forest running back Justice Ellison was the first commitment for Curt Cignetti last week.
