Indiana football has earned its first commitment in the transfer window as Wake Forest running back Justice Ellison announced his pledge to the Hoosiers and new head coach Curt Cignetti on Sunday night.

Ellison has carried the ball 427 times for 1,901 yards and 15 touchdowns in four seasons with the Demon Deacons.

The 5-foot-10 and 204-pound back totaled 548 rushing yards on 120 carries and one touchdown in 11 games this past season. He had five games with at least 60 yards. His best performance was a 18-carry and 137-yard game against Georgia Tech.

Other notable performances were 10 carries for 77 yards against Florida State and 15 carries for 63 yards against Notre Dame.

Ellison was an All-ACC Third-Team back in 2022 with 699 yards on 170 carries and six touchdowns.

He had a 114-yard performance against Florida State and 81 yards against North Carolina. Ellison had 21 carries for 64 yards and one touchdown in a win over Missouri in the Gasparilla Bowl.

Ellison has one season of eligibility remaining. Ellison had other reported offers from Minnesota and Boston College.

The backfield for Indiana football has been depleted this offseason. Jaylin Lucas and Trent Howland entered the transfer portal and Christian Turner exhausted his eligibility as well.
