The Indiana basketball program is pushing for numerous high-level prospects in the class of 2024. One of those players is five-star guard Dylan Harper.

Harper is a 6-foot-4 combo guard from Don Bosco Prep (NJ) and ranked No. 4 in the 247Sports composite rankings. He is also the No. 1 combo guard in the class.

Dylan Harper is the son of NBA standout Ron Harper and the brother of former Rutgers star forward Ron Harper Jr. He has narrowed down his recruitment to just five programs: Indiana, Duke, Rutgers, Auburn and Kansas.

He has already taken an official visit to Duke and Indiana and has taken numerous unofficial visits to Rutgers.

Right now, he is aiming at making his college choice after Peach Jam (July 6-9).

Harper updated 247Sports on his recruitment and discussed his impression of Indiana.

“Coach Woodson really emphasized the NBA play style from where he coached in the League for so long,” Harper said. “It was a great visit and he told me if I come there they will put the ball in my hands and let me get up and down the floor.”

Despite the Indiana basketball staff’s hard push in the early and mid stages of the recruitment, IU needs to come from behind in this recruitment. HoosierIllustrated.com has been told by numerous sources that Duke and Rutgers are the teams to beat, with Indiana on the second tier.

Harper was part of the loaded field at the USA Basketball Mini Camp at the Final Four this past weekend. He averaged 23.4 points per game for Don Bosco this past season.

Harper helped lead NY Rens to a runner-up finish in the Peach Jam 16U tournament this past summer.
