Florida Gulf Coast transfer and hybrid forward Zach Anderson is in Bloomington visiting the Indiana basketball program this weekend.

Anderson posted a picture on social media confirming the visit.

Anderson is a 6-foot-7 and 205-pound forward who averaged 12.8 points, 5.1 rebounds and shot 45.9 percent from three last year.

He made 1.6 3s per game and hit 51 3s on the season. Anderson had 14 games with at least two 3s.

Florida Gulf Coast played at Indiana in the season opener this year when Anderson had 19 points and was 5-of-7 from three.

Anderson is a terrific catch and shoot player, finishing last year with a 72 percent effective field goal rate on catch and shoot 3s. That was in the 99th percentile. He averaged 1.18 points per possession on spot up shots — which made up 30 percent of his total shot attempts last year — which ranked in the 86th percentile.

While Anderson is known as a shooter, he has good skill to post up smaller opponents and take bigger opponents off of the dribble from the perimeter.

Anderson had 21 points and 10 rebounds while going 3-of-5 on 3s against Florida Atlantic. He had 14 points and seven rebounds against Minnesota.

As a junior, Anderson averaged 11.7 points, 6.7 rebounds, 2.1 assists and shot 37.3 percent from three on one made three per game.

For his career, Anderson is a 38.7 percent three-point shooter on 2.8 attempts per game.

The 6-foot-7 forward has one year of eligibility remaining.

Indiana basketball has added No. 1 overall transfer and center Oumar Ballo, No. 10 overall transfer and shooting guard Kanaan Carlyle and No. 18 overall player and point guard Myles Rice this portal season.
