Former Indiana basketball forward Trayce Jackson-Davis is continuing to make himself known in the NBA landscape. Last night, Trayce Jackson-Davis notched his second straight double-double in the Warriors dominant win over the Wizards where the former All-American added 10 points and 15 rebounds off the bench.

While a back-to-back double-double is impressive all by itself, there was a stat that came from last night that is a little more special, one that involves his dad, former NBA player Dale Davis.

According to @OptaSTATS, Trayce Jackson-Davis is the first player in each of the last two games to notch a double-double, snag more than 12+ rebounds, and shoot better than 70% from the floor with the last NBA player to do so off the bench in back-to-back games was his father, Dale Davis, from April 12-13, 2001 when he played on the Portland Trailblazers.

Dale Davis played in the NBA from 1991-2007. He was drafted by the Indiana Pacers and played for the Trailblazers, Warriors, and Pistons during his long pro-career. He was named and NBA All-Star in 2000. He appeared in 1094 total games averaging 8.0 points and 7.9 rebounds per game.

Trayce Jackson-Davis has seen a major increase in playing time with the suspension of Draymond Green. Now in an expanded role, his efficiency and production is increasing even more than it was when he was playing limited minutes while impressing the Warriors organization.

“You can see the impact he makes,” said Steve Kerr earlier this week.” He’s gonna play. He’s gonna be in the lineup … meaning he’s going to be in the rotation.”

“..Playing like a seasoned vet, and he’s a rookie, which is great for the Dubs,” said Warriors veteran shooting guard Klay Thompson earlier this season. “He’s looking like the steal of the draft.”

Jackson-Davis has appeared in 18 games this season is averaging 4.3 points, 3.4 rebounds and 0.7 blocks in 10.3 minutes per game. He is shooting 61.2% from the floor, as well.
