Caleb Wilson - EYBL Session 2 - April 28th, 2023 - Kyler Staley - Phoenix, Arizona

Indiana 2025 five-star forward target Caleb Wilson, who is playing for Georgia Stars 17U, competed in EYBL Session II which took place this past weekend in Phoenix, Arizona. Wilson would go onto average 11.3 points on 16-of-46 (34.8%) shooting, 8.8 rebound, and 3.8 assists in four games.

HoosierIllustrated was in attendance, as well as Indiana assistant coach Brian Walsh, and got an extended look at the Holy Innocents Episcopal School (GA) guard.

Wilson has steadily become one of the top forward targets in the 2025 class. for Mike Woodson and the Indiana staff when it comes to the 2025 class. Indiana has multiple ties to the state of Georgia with Mike Woodson having coached the Atlanta Hawks and associate head coach Yasir Rosemond being from there so it is a no-brainier that Indiana would be involved with Wilson. Schools such as Indiana, Stanford, Alabama, Cincinnati, Georgia, Missouri, Xavier, and many more also heavily involved with the five-star forward.

Below are extended highlights of 2025 five-star forward target Caleb Wilson at EYBL Session II plus an evaluation of how he looked over the weekend.

Wilson was easily one of the more impressive players I watched over the weekend. Right away, you immediately notice his size at 6-foot-7 and his elite athletic ability paired with it. As far as his overall skill, he is easily one of the more skilled and versatile forwards out of the 2025 class in my opinion. He is a bigger forward that has a real solid jumper, can create his own look, and protect the rim on the defensive end. He does his scoring when he is more on the ball than off as he has not really developed consistent enough play when he is playing off the ball whether that be around the wing or in the post. Another area of his game that I would like to see improve is his motor as it was obviously clear at times his frustrations if a play did not go his way. As far as skill and athleticism is conferenced, Wilson is a high upside prospect that would come in and fit Mike Woodson’s vision of a playmaking forward. His Indiana recruitment is one to keep a close eye on.
