Recruiting analyst predicts Indiana basketball will land 2024 five-star prospect

The first national recruiting analyst logged an official prediction for the Indiana basketball program to land its first 2024 recruit.

The wait is likely almost over for the Indiana basketball program when it comes to its 2024 recruiting class.

Heavily involved with numerous five-star prospects, Indiana has earned a prediction to land five-star prospect and Montverde Academy (Fla.) wing Liam McNeeley.

While widely predicted as the favorite to land McNeeley, this is the first time any national analyst has predicted him to officially land with the Hoosiers.

On Monday night, national recruiting analyst Trilly Donovan of the Full Ride Network — the official network of HoosierIllustarted.com — officially logged his prediction. Donovan is 27-of-28 all-time.

McNeeley has been the top target for Mike Woodson and the Indiana basketball staff for most of the past 12 months. He took two official visits to Indiana, including the final visit of his recruitment early in September. The entire Indiana basketball staff also visited McNeeley down at Montverde the following week.

“Indiana is obviously a historic basketball state, and the fans in Indiana almost worship basketball,” McNeeley previously told HoosierIllustrated.com. “Love from the fans make me feel wanted.”

McNeeley is likely to make his decision soon, with a decision coming down to Indiana and Kansas.

Originally from Texas, he transferred to Montverde Academy last season and emerged as one of the top prospects in the country. This past season he averaged 13.7 points and was second in the NIBC averaging 2.2 made 3s per game.

McNeeley is ranked the No. 13 overall prospect in the 2024 247Sports composite rankings.
