One of the top players in the 2025 recruiting class is interested in the Indiana basketball program and could be looking to visit very soon.

Darius Acuff Jr, the No. 1 point guard in the 2025 class, already holds numerous offers including Kentucky, UConn, Michigan, Michigan State, Rutgers, Kansas, Alabama and numerous others. That includes Indiana.

Following a standout performance at the Hoophall Classic this weekend, Acuff provides some insight on a few programs he wants to see this spring. Among those include the Indiana basketball program in addition to Houston, Kansas and UConn, he told Rivals reporter Krysten Peek.

While Acuff has numerous heavy-hitters on the recruiting trail after him, according to Rivals National Recruiting Analyst Rob Cassidy, the Hoosiers could be a dark horse in this recruitment.

“The good news (for Indiana basketball) is that head coach Mike Woodson has proven the ability to insert himself in the thick of high-profile recruitments once he’s able to get those prospects on campus for a visit,” Cassidy recently wrote.

Acuff, who received an offer from Indiana basketball in May, was tremendous playing up a year this summer. He averaged 15.2 points, 3.6 rebounds and 5.2 assists per game during Peach Jam on the Nike EYBL Circuit for The Family. His assists per game ranked fourth in all of the 17U division.

The 6-foot-2 point guard transferred from Cass Tech (MI) to IMG Academy (Fla.) after last season. He was named the MaxPreps Player of the Year in Michigan after averaging 21.4 points and 5.7 assists per game as a sophomore.
