Following his graduation, Knight started his coaching career at the high school level before joining the Army staff and then eventually to Indiana.

The Indiana basketball program also honored Knight earlier this season against Army, with the coaching staff debuting the classic red sweater look on the sidelines.

Indiana is also wearing ‘RMK’ patches on its jerseys this season.

Knight passed away on Nov. 1, 2023.
