The Indiana football program has its sights set on bouncing back from the last two years and achieving the level of success it had in 2019 and 2020. That success will revolve around quarterback play, however.
The current quarterback room is quite young and inexperienced … but also talented.
So far in the 2024 class, the Hoosiers sit in a good spot for one in-state play caller. And, another out of state prospect that the Indiana football program is actively recruiting had a phenomenal weekend at the Rivals Camp Series.
Trever Jackson from West Orange (Fla.) put on a show, earning Quarterback MVP for the event.
Rivals national analysts Adam Friedman and Ryan Wright saw Jackson up close and broke down his performance.
“Jackson has not been shy about showcasing his cannon this offseason, which has helped raise the recruiting status of the West Orange High School prospect. All the skills were on display on Sunday, wowing coaches, campers, and the fans in the stands. His footwork, release, arm strength and accuracy were all on point, culminating in an impressive performance during 1-on-1s.”
Currently, Jackson holds offers from Indiana, Pitt, Akron, Appalachian State, Mass, Florida Atlantic and others. Cincinnati, UCF, Florida and Florida State are among some of the other programs involved.
Jackson is a three-star prospect in the Rivals 2024 rankings.
