The Indiana football program was named in the top five for a 2024 prospect on Tuesday afternoon, taking the next step in the recruitment.

2024 quarterback Trever Jackson released a group of programs that he’s focused on. Those programs were: Indiana, Pitt, Appalachian State, Tulane and Florida Atlantic.

The West Orange (Fla.) quarterback has had a very good spring thus far, recently winning MVP honors at the Rivals Camp Series.

Rivals national analysts Adam Friedman and Ryan Wright saw Jackson up close and broke down his performance.

“Jackson has not been shy about showcasing his cannon this offseason, which has helped raise the recruiting status of the West Orange High School prospect. All the skills were on display on Sunday, wowing coaches, campers, and the fans in the stands. His footwork, release, arm strength and accuracy were all on point, culminating in an impressive performance during 1-on-1s.”

At the moment, Pitt and Indiana are at the top of the list for Jackson. While no official visits are set up, he’s eyeing a visit to Indiana. He’s been on numerous unofficial visits, however.

This past year, Jackson threw for 1,559 yards and 16 touchdowns in 10 games. He completed 59.3 percent of his passes. He also rushed for 306 yards and six touchdowns.

The Indiana football has a young quarterback room but continues to look to add talent. Jackson possesses the dual-threat ability that the Hoosiers are looking for with their future signal callers.

Jackson is rated as a three-star recruit on both Rivals and 247Sports. He is the ranked as the No. 44 overall quarterback in the 2024 247Sports Composite Rankings.
