The Indiana football program landed another weapon on the outside in the transfer portal as former Wake Forest wide receiver Ke’Shawn Williams has committed to playing for Curt Cignetti and the Hoosiers.
Williams is a fifth-year senior who played 46 games for Wake Forest. Williams caught 107 passes for 1385 yards and five touchdowns during his time with the Demon Deacons.
He chose Indiana football over Baylor, Houston, Utah, Cincinnati and other schools.
Williams is a 5-foot-10 190-pound receiver who has primarily worked out of the slot while at Wake Forest. He also returned eight kicks in 2023 for the Demon Deacons.
His best game came in September against Vanderbilt when he caught five passes for 92 yards and a touchdown
Coming out of high school, Williams had offers from programs such as Fordham, Kent State, UMass, Monmouth and Temple in addition to Wake Forest. He was a three-star prospect in the 2020 class.
New Indiana football coach Curt Cignetti has made an emphasis to give his new quarterback, Kurtis Rourke, weapons on the outside.
In his short time as head coach, Cignetti has landed Ohio transfer Miles Cross, Texas Tech transfer Myles Price, and was able to keep Indiana’s leading receiver, Donaven McCulley.
