The Indiana basketball program is expected to conduct an in-home visit with Minnesota transfer Jamison Battle on Tuesday afternoon, sources confirmed to HoosierIllustrated.com.

Inside The Hall was the first to report the Tuesday visit with 247Sports also mentioning a potential visit.

Jamison Battle is a 6-foot-7 wing who is well known for his shooting ability. He’s a career 35 percent three-point shooter on 2.5 made 3s per game. He has good length and size for a perimeter player and has the ability to be a spot up or off of the dribble shooter. Battle averaged 12.4 points and 3.8 rebounds per game while shooting 31.1 percent from three this season.

He was the lone shot creator for Minnesota this season with the numerous season-ending injuries it suffered before, and early in the season. He made 59 3s which would have been second on Indiana. Battle made at least one three in all but four games he played in. He had 20 points and hit four 3s against Indiana this season.

As a junior, Battle was terrific. He averaged 17.5 points and 6.3 rebounds while shooting 36.6 percent from three on 2.4 made 3s per game. He made 75 3s that season.

For his two seasons at Minnesota he was 134-of-395 from three.

Prior to Minnesota, Battle played two seasons at George Washington and averaged 13.5 points and shot 36.3 percent from three.

He averages 2.4 made 3s per game in 103 career games. He has started 101 games across four years.

Arkansas, Ohio State, Xavier, Cincinnati, Iowa State, Butler, Illinois and Nebraska are some of the other programs interested in Battle.

Jamison Battle has one year of eligibility remaining.

The Indiana basketball program currently has three open scholarships for the 2023-24 season.
