Indiana basketball forward Logan Duncomb has entered the transfer portal, a source confirmed to HoosierIllustrated.com.

The 6-foot-9 sophomore appeared in nine games during the 2022-23 season and missed the final 18 games of the season due to a severe sinus infection.

Duncomb averaged 2.9 points and 1.7 rebounds this season.

For his career, Duncomb played in 18 games averaging 1.8 points and 1.2 rebounds in 3.9 minutes per game. The best game of his career came in December this season against Elon when he posted 10 points and five rebounds.

During his Indiana basketball tenure, injuries and suspension kept him out of the lineup pretty consistently.

“Moving forward, we need him to get back into some game shape and start practicing,” IU head coach Mike Woodson said earlier this season. “This week was the first time we really had a chance to really get after one another, and it’s been a couple tough days of practice. Moving forward, if he’s in a position where I can throw him in … He’s done some good things for us early on. I date back to last season, too. Even the little, small minutes he got last season, he was productive. I won’t be scared to throw him in if there’s foul trouble or anything like that. But we got to get him back physically ready.”

The Archbishop Moeller (Oh) forward was a four-star prospect in the class of 2021. He was ranked No. 68 in the 247Sports rankings and No. 72 in the Rivals rankings.

As a high school senior, he averaged 13.5 points, 9.1 rebounds and 1.3 blocks per game.

Coming out of high school he had offers from Wisconsin, Cincinnati, Iowa, Ohio State, Xavier and others. Duncomb had originally committed to former Indiana head coach Archie Miller and his staff. Once he was fired and Mike Woodson took over, Duncomb stayed with his Indiana pledge.

Duncomb is the first player on the roster to hit the transfer portal this offseason. He will join the list of departing players including Trayce Jackson-Davis, Race Thompson and Miller Kopp to graduation and potentially Jalen Hood-Schifino to the NBA.
