Rutgers leads 14-7 with 14:53 left in the Q2.

Short Rutgers kick led to Indiana starting on the IU 31-yard line.

Indiana would go 3-and-out again. The problem with this drive was that they elected to run it up the gut on 3rd-and-7 and did not get it. Indiana football fans were not pleased.

Indiana football defense would force a Rutgers 3-and-out. Rutgers would punt it and Indiana football would get the ball at the IU-38.

Indiana would have their third straight 3-and-out. Offense was tending down after a hot start.

It looked like Indiana football was going to get another defensive stop but a horse collar tackle was called on Aaron Casey. Another backbreaking penalty for Indiana this season.

Indiana’s defense came up with a big Rutgers 4th down stop. Turnover-on-downs. Indiana ball at the IU-41.

First offensive play on the series, a roughing the passer would be called. IU ball on the Rutgers-36.

Indiana would gain great momentum after that call. A couple of big runs would set them up inside the 5-yard line.

Brendan Sorsby with a QB keep and converted extra point tied the game at 14 with 3:58 left in Q2.

A crazy sequence happed on the Rutgers drive. There was a pass interference called on the offense however, Indiana football safety Louis Moore was called for targeting and was disqualified for the game.

The penalties offset and the Hoosiers lost one of their best defenders for the game.

However, Indiana would come up with a. big defensive stop. Things went bad with Jaylin Lucas muffing a punt and setting up Rutgers on the IU-20. Brutal, brutal, and brutal.

Indiana’s defense would hold Rutgers to a FG attempt, which they successfully converted.

End 3Q: Rutgers 24, Indiana football 14.

Fourth Quarter

Indiana football starts the quarter on the IU-49.

Hoosiers don’t convert on 3rd down and punt it out. Fair catch by Rutgers on the Rutger-15.

Gavin Wimsatt would do a QB keep and rush for a 80-yard TD. Pretty much put the nail in the coffin for Indiana football this game. Hoosier fans starting to file out.

Indiana would be forced to go for it on fourth down but would not covert. Should have been a pass interference called on Rutgers there but there was not.

In a twist, there was actually targeting called on Rutgers so Indiana football got another offensive chance.

Sorsby’s pass is complete to Turner but he is 3 yards short and Rutgers will take over on downs.

Rutgers would go on to win.
