Former IU basketball guard Eric Gordon continues to add to his terrific NBA career and that included moving up on the NBA’s all-time three-point field goal list.

On Tuesday, Gordon moved into the top-15 on the all-time made 3s list with 1,992 3s in his career, passing Jason Kidd. Next up is Kyle Lowry at 2,140 career 3s.

Gordon hit four 3s in Tuesday’s win en route to a 23-point performance in a 130-125 win over the Sacramento Kings.

Gordon, who is in his first year with the Phoenix Suns, is averaging 12.5 points per game while shooting 38.9 percent from three this season. He’s averaging 2.5 made 3s per game — his highest since the 2020-21 season.

He has been in and out of the starting lineup this season but still has 20+ points in 10 games and has scored in double-figures in 30 of his 46 games played.

The 17-year vet has always been known for his shooting ability and has a career average from three of 37.2 percent. 10 of his 17 seasons have yielded a 37+ percent three-point rate.

The Suns are currently ranked fifth in the Western Conference standings at 32-22 overall.

Gordon, who played just one season with the IU basketball program, was selected 7th overall in the 2008 NBA Draft by the Los Angeles Clippers. He played four years with the Clippers, five with the New Orleans Hornets and Pelicans, seven with the Houston Rockets and then one with the Suns in his career.
