Indiana basketball, Trayce Jackson-Davis

The hometown hero retuned last night in the form of Indiana basketball all-time great, Trayce Jackson-Davis.

Last night during the Pacers home matchup with the Golden State Warriors, former Indiana basketball forward Trayce Jackson-Davis made his return to the state in front of a ton of Hoosier fans that made the trip to Gainbridge Fieldhouse to see him.

After the game, Jackson-Davis was able to link up some of his former Indiana basketball teammates — Trey Galloway, Anthony Leal, and Xavier Johnson — which was posted by strength and conditioning coach Clif Marshall here.

Jackson-Davis, a Greenwood, Indiana native, grew up just 22 minutes from the Pacers arena. His father, Dale Davis, played for the Pacers from 1991-2000 and in 2005. Just this past December, Jackson-Davis accomplished something that only his father did nearly 20 years ago.

In the game last night where the Warriors won 131-109, Jackson-Davis logged 3:37 minutes and scored a total of six points and was able to snag two rebounds and add one block. He has appeared in 37 games for the Warriors season averaging 6.5 points and 4.1 rebounds per game. He is also shooting 68.9 percent from the field.

“I love Trayce,” Warriors head coach Steve Kerr told the media last night. “He’s an exciting young prospect. He’s a rarity in the game in that he’s played four years in college.”
