Fresh off of his final game in summer league action, Los Angles Lakers rookie and former Indiana basketball guard Jalen Hood-Schifino announces his first major endorsement deal.
Hood-Schifino has reportedly signed a ‘multi-year footwear and apparel endorsement deal’ with Adidas, per NBA footwear reporter Nick DePaula. Joining Hood-Schifino in the Adidas’ rookie class announcement is Raptors rookie Gradey Dick.
Hood-Schifino was the 17th overall selection in last month’s NBA Draft. During summer league play, Hood-Schifino was up-and-down with his performance. He averaged 11.8 points, 4.3 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game in four games in Vegas. He shot just 31 percent from the floor and 35.7 percent from three.
He averaged 17.5 points, 4.0 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game in two games during the California Classic Summer League.
Hood-Schifino signed his rookie contract last week, reportedly a four-year contract worth up to $17.9 million,
Adidas is the official sponsor of Indiana, however, the current contract is set to expire next summer. Hood-Schifino was part of the Adidas NIL class last year while at Indiana.
In his lone year at Indiana, he averaged 13.5 points, 4.1 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game.
