As Indiana basketball starts to wrap up their season with seven games of conference play remaining, the recruiting for Mike Woodson and his staff continue to ramp up as they head into the spring and summer. With only a handful of games to play at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall for the rest of the season, Mike Woodson and staff are still bringing in high level recruiting targets to Bloomington for visits.

As it was announced by Derek Murray of The Scouting Service, 2026 five-star wing Jalen Montonati has set an unofficial visit to Indiana basketball for this weekend. The expectation right now is that Montonati is going to be in attendance for Indiana’s matchup with Northwestern on Sunday.

Jalen Montonati, and Oklahoma native, is a 6-7, 175-pound wing and attends Owasso High School. He also plays for MOKAN Elite as part of the Nike EYBL circuit. He averaged 18.3 points on 46.6% 3-point shooting last summer playing for MOKAN Elite 15U. He also was a part of the USA Basketball 16U and averaged 7.2 points while shooting 40.9% from three in helping them win the gold medal in the FIBA Americas Championships.

According to MaxPreps, he is currently averaging 25.4 points for Owasso High School while also shooting 38.0% from three.

He is a long and lanky wing that does a good job of creating his own shot off the dribble and with little space. His high athleticism allows him to be a factors on all three levels of the floor, especially on the offensive end.

Along with Indiana basketball, Jalen Montonati has offers from schools such as Kansas, Iowa, Arkansas, Kansas State, Michigan, Tennessee, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, and more.

He is ranked No. 9 overall in the 2026 247Sports composite rankings and the No. 4 small forward in the class.
