The Indiana football program enters the 2023 season looking to improve on the 4-8 year in 2022.
In the past two seasons, Indiana is just 6-18 in the last two years. That followed a 14-7 record in the two years prior.
A major part of the struggles for the Hoosiers have been offensively, and revolves around the offensive line. Because of that Indiana’s rushing attack struggled to bring any sort of consistency to the field. Indiana ranked 13th in the league in yards per game (110.8) and 12th in yards per carry (3.4) last season.
All-American Jaylin Lucas returns, as does Josh Henderson. Indiana also added Christian Turner from Wake Forest.
“I think those guys in that backfield, and add Christian Turner to that group, he has a chance to be a special player as well. So I’m excited about that running back room,” IU head coach Tom Allen said last week. “We have a bunch of guys in there that can run really hard so we want to get them on the field as much as possible.”
