The transfer portal is open and the Indiana football program is beginning to host players over the next week for visits. One of those is at the running back spot, a group that Indiana will be losing a lot of production from.
According to ESPN reporter Max Olson, UAB transfer Lee Beebe Jr is planning a visit to Indiana. Beebe is a former walk-on that had 884 rushing yards and seven rushing touchdowns in 2024. He totaled 1,103 yards and eight touchdowns from scrimmage helping him earn Third-Team All-AAC honors.
He had two 100+ yard games and averaged 5.3 yards per carry on the year.
Beebe also had eight games with multiple receptions.
Indiana football will be losing its top two rushers this season, Justice Ellison and Ty Son Lawton. The duo has combined for 1,445 yards and 22 touchdowns this year will averaging 5.2 yards per carry.
They became the first set of Indiana running backs to total 10+ rushing touchdowns in the same season. In total, Indiana’s 37 rushing touchdowns tied the most in a single season in program history.
Indiana will also lose Solomon Vanhorse, another JMU transfer, who was used primarily as a return specialist.
