OG Anunoby has been dealing with a hamstring injury that has kept him out of the last four games in the Eastern Conference Semifinals, but he could making a return.

According to ESPN insider Adrian Wojnarowski, Anunoby has been upgraded to ‘questionable’ ahead of Game 7 on Sunday afternoon.

“OG Anunoby has been upgraded to questionable and is likely to go through shootaround ahead of Game 7 vs. Indiana on Sunday to determine whether it’ll be possible for him to return to lineup,” Wojnarowski wrote. “He’s been out since Game 2.”

Anunoby’s injury came in the second half in Game 2 when he went up for a layup in transition and came down awkwardly holding his hamstring. He did not return. He had 28 points in 28 minutes of action in Game 2 before his injury.

A return by Anunoby would be a welcomed sign for the New York Knicks who have been dealing with numerous injuries to notable players in their rotation. Since Anunoby’s injury, the Knicks have won just one of the last four games in the series. They won the first two games with Anunoby in the lineup.

Since he we acquired by the Knicks at the trade deadline, Anunoby has been averaging 14.1 points, 4.4 rebounds and 1.7 steals per game while shooting 39.4 percent from three. His play on both ends of the floor has been critical for the Knicks this season and in the playoffs.

Since the trade, the Knicks are 26-5 in games that Anunoby has played in. They are just 15-19 in games that Anunoby has missed due to injury.

The former Indiana standout forward is averaging 16.4 points, 6.8 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.1 blocks in eight playoff games this postseason. He’s also hooting 39.5 percent from three.

“Anunoby has advanced in his rehabilitation and believes there’s a real opportunity for him to return and help his team with the season on the line Sunday, sources said,” Wojnarowski added.

Game 7 is Sunday at 3:30 pm on ABC. The winner will face the Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference Finals.
