With fall recruiting visits being set left and right, it also the time we start seeing predictions one which schools will land some of the top high school prospects across the country. For Indiana basketball, a national recruiting just gave the Hoosiers a major prediction when it comes to landing one of their key targets.

According to National Basketball Reporter Joe Tipton, Indiana basketball is projected to land 2025 five-star guard Jalen Haralson over schools such as Duke, Kansas, Purdue, Gonzaga, Missouri, Michigan State, and Notre Dame. He gave the Hoosiers a 35% chance to land the Indiana native, which was one of the higher percentage chances out of all of the predicted landing spots for the five-star prospects in the 2025 class.

“Jalen Haralson showed this spring and summer on the circuit that he is one of the premier scorers in this class,” Joe Tipton write. “He has a top nine of Indiana, Purdue, Notre Dame, Michigan State, Missouri, Gonzaga, Auburn, Duke, and Kansas.”

“A native of Indiana, Haralson has a lot of familiarity and ties to the Hoosiers. I don’t think a decision has been made or that a commitment is imminent, but for the sake of this article today, I’ll predict IU lands him in the end.”

Haralson, who attends La Lumiere (IN), is one of the top overall prospects in the entire country. He ran with Indy Heat 17U on the Nike EYBL circuit and averaged 21.2 points per game while adding 7.3 rebounds and 2.9 assists, as well. He also was a part of Team USA in the FIBA U17 World Cup where he helped lead them to winning gold with his 11.1 points, 4.0 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.7 steals in 15.0 minutes a game. He shot 58.1 percent from the field, 38.5 percent (10-of-26) on 3s and 80 percent (12-of-15) from the free throw line.

Harlason is rated as the No. 10 overall prospect in the On3 2025 Rankings and has a IU basketball official visit set up for Aug. 31.

Below are some scouting notes from HoosierIllustrated.com’s Kyler Staley from earlier this spring.

When it comes to play, Haralson was his typical unselfish self on the ball while also proving he can take over a game at nearly any moment. He did a really good job in half court settings making tremendous passes for open looks but when he was able to get downhill, he got to the rim nearly every time. What is fun about Haralson is that is he lets almost everything come to him on the floor before he makes his move.
