IU basketball guard Myles Rice becomes the latest Hoosier to enter the transfer portal, according to national basketball analyst Jeff Goodman.
Rice is the fifth Indiana player to enter the transfer portal this offseason, joining Malik Reneau, Mackenzie Mgbako, Gabe Cupps and Jakai Newton.
Rice played just one season with IU and averaged 10.1 points, 2.8 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game. He shot 41.2 percent from the floor, 32.5 percent from three and 81.8 percent from the free throw line.
He started 25 of 32 games for the Hoosiers.
Rice was one of the most sought-out transfer guards last offseason but struggled with inconsistent play under Mike Woodson. Rice scored in double figures 18 times but scored five or less points in 12 games.
IU was 12-6 when he scored in double digits, and were just 7-7 when he was in single digits.
Rice came to Indiana after being the Pac-12 Freshman of the Year last season at Washington State. He averaged 14.8 points and 3.8 assists a game while shooting 43.9 percent from the field and 27.5 percent from three.
The 6-foot-3 guard has two years of eligibility remaining.
