2025 guard Braylon Mullins of Greenfield-Central (Ind.) and Indiana Elite has been one of the top players in the entire country this spring and because of his play, his recruitment has taken a national step.

Mullins has helped Indiana Elite to an undefeated record this spring and will have a real shot at winning the Adidas 3SSB Championships later this summer.

He’s averaging 20.1 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game this spring and shooting 55.8 percent from the floor (96-of-172) and 52.1 percent from three (50-of-96). His play has helped him earn offers from Tennessee, North Carolina, Michigan, UConn, Kansas, Alabama and others.

Currently, he sits at No. 104 in the 247Sports composite rankings — but he’s in store for a major jump in the rankings when they’re updated in the coming weeks.

247Sports National Basketball Director Eric Bossi says Mullins is someone who will see a ‘significant climb’ and has a chance to be the ‘biggest riser’ after the rankings are refreshed.

That sentiment was echoed by Rivals National Basketball Recruiting Director Rob Cassidy who sees Mullins as a ‘top-50’ prospect.

I loved what I saw from Braylon Mullins this spring and having watched his development up close, there’s no doubt in my mind that he’s a top-50 prospect in this class,” Cassidy wrote. “Mullins currently sits on the No. 88 line, but that is set to change dramatically next week. An Indiana native, Mullins is a priority target for Hoosiers head coach Mike Woodson but has earned offers from heavy-hitters such as Kansas, North Carolina and UConn through his play on the adidas 3SSB Circuit this spring, so his recruitment promises to be as exciting as his quickly developing game.”

Mullins has been a key target for the Indiana basketball program over the last year and its prioritization of the talented guard has put them at the top of the pack. Mullins has taken a few visits to Bloomington throughout his recruitment and will be back September 20 for an official visit.

Because of the recent national involvement, Cassidy believes there is now ‘enormous pressure’ to land Mullins for Indiana.

His play this spring isn’t new, however. It’s just on a more national stage. He was terrific during his high school season when he averaged 25.0 points, 6.2 rebounds, 3.2 assists and shot 43 percent from three (61-of-143).

Mullins’ three-point shooting is a major need for a team like Indiana, and the emphasis to keep the 2025 in-state class in Indiana will be put to the test throughout the remainder of his recruitment — one that will likely see more national attention in the coming months.
