Indiana basketball is deep into the transfer portal with six open scholarships remaining. The Hoosiers will be looking to fill one of those in the coming weeks when a key transfer target takes an official visit.

Per On3’s Joe Tipton, Louisville transfer forward Brandon Huntley-Hatfield will be taking an Indiana basketball official visit April 12-14.

The 6-foo-10 junior forward averaged 12.9 points and 8.4 rebounds per game this season. Averaged 14.7 points in ACC play and was in double-figures in 17 of 20 league games.

Brandon Huntley-Hatfield began his college career with Tennessee before playing the last two seasons at Louisville. He has appeared 91 games overall with 66 of those games being a starter. He has a career 51.8% guild goal rate while shooting career 30.8% from three, although only taking 0.6 attempts per game.

He started all 32 games for Louisville this past season and shot 56.7% from the field.

Indiana basketball has plenty of room in the frontcourt with the departures of Kel’el Ware (NBA), Anthony Walker (Graduation), and Payton Sparks (Transfer). As it stands right now, the only returning frontcourt players for the Hoosiers are Malik Reneau with expectation that Mackenzie Mgbako will also be returning, though not official.

Huntley-Hatfield is a former four-star recruit and ranked No. 24 in the 247Composite Rankings.
