Another prospect has cancelled or rescheduled his Indiana basketball visit. This time it’s Brandon Huntley-Hatfield that will no longer be visiting, per On3.com’s Joe Tipton.

The Louisville transfer was expected to visit April 12-14.

The 6-foo-10 junior forward averaged 12.9 points and 8.4 rebounds per game this season. He averaged 14.7 points in ACC play and was in double-figures in 17 of 20 league games.

He started all 32 games for Louisville this past season and shot 56.7% from the field.

Indiana was expected to visit with Bradley transfer guard Connor Hickman last week but it was postponed. On Monday, Eastern Kentucky guard Leland Walker was expected to visit Indiana basketball, but it was reported that the visit was getting rescheduled for a later date.

The recruiting dead period for the transfer portal begins on April 4 and runs through April 11.

The official definition of a dead period per the NCAA website: “A dead period is that period of time when it is not permissible to make in-person recruiting contacts or evaluations on or off the member institution’s campus or to permit official or unofficial visits by prospective student-athletes to the institution’s campus.”

Indiana basketball has six available scholarships for the 2024-25 season. It also has opening in the front court with the departures of Kel’el Ware (NBA), Anthony Walker (graduation) and Payton Sparks (transfer portal).

Indiana basketball has one incoming prospect in the 2024 class with McDonald’s All-American wing Bryson Tucker.
