Former Indiana basketball forward Trayce Jackson-Davis is continuing to turn heads in the small sample size of his NBA rookie season and receive major praise from his Golden State Warriors teammates.

After last week’s crazy situation where Trayce Jackson-Davis was assigned to the Warriors’ G-League affiliate, Santa Cruz Warriors, he would almost immediately get called back up to the Warriors thanks to the help of his front court all-star teammate, Draymond Green., who praised the energy that he and his fellow rookie teammates bring to the team.

“…Trayce and [Brandin Podziemski] and Lester [Quinones], the energy that they bring to this team…”Warriors forward Draymond Green told reporters on Friday night…..”They do every single day.”

Scout’s Take: How Trayce Jackson-Davis and his skillset will translate to the NBA

Not only is Warriors veteran Draymond Green praising what Trayce Jackson-Davis is bringing to the team, now fellow Warriors veteran Klay Thompson is giving his thoughts on what the former Indiana basketball All-American is bringing to the organization.

“He’s going to be in the NBA a long, long time,” Klay Thompson told reporters on Thursday. “He’s ready. He’s able right now. What a steal we got late in the second. He’s going to be a huge help for us all year.”

Although Trayce Jackson-Davis has not seen the floor all that much in the early parts of this season, he has still made an impact on the bench being a great teammate while also taking advantage of the playing time he does get. Jackson-Davis has appeared in three games for the Warriors this season and is averaging 4.3 points and 2.7 rebounds.

Warriors will play next this Saturday vs the Cleveland Cavaliers. Tip off is scheduled for 8:30 on NBA TV.
