Kyle Schwarber announced as guest picker for College GameDay for Indiana Football

Former IU baseball player Kyle Schwarber has been announced as the guest picker for College GameDay when the show comes for Indiana Football.

Former Indiana baseball player and current Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Kyle Schwarber has been announced as the celebrity guest picker for College GameDay this weekend. The popular ESPN college football pregame show is making its return to Indiana football for the first time since 2017.

Schwarber was a key member of the 2013 Indiana baseball team that made it to the College World Series and won both the Big Ten regular season championship and the Big Ten tournament. That year Schwarber batted .366 while hitting 18 home runs in 61 games.

Schwarber played in 180 games for the Hoosiers and finished his career with 40 home runs while batting .342 over three seasons.

“It’s gonna be exciting, it’s gonna be fun,” Schwarber said in a video the GameDay X/Twitter account posted. “Can’t wait to see all of you guys there, and go Hoosiers.”

Schwarber is coming off of another big year for the Phillies where he led the team with 38 home runs as they won their division for the first time since 2011.
