Friday morning, PFF, a football analytic company, released its 2025 NFL Draft stock report. The list showcased ten college football players with a rising stock to be selected on draft day. Of the ten players listed, four play for Big Ten teams.

One of those Big Ten players is Indiana football’s Kurtis Rourke, featured at the very top of the list.

It’s no surprise that Rourke is on this list. Rourke has been the face of the 6–0 Indiana Hoosiers all season long. The sixth year senior transferred to Indiana for his final season of eligibility after playing five seasons at Ohio.

Indiana football knew what they were getting when recruiting Rourke in the transfer portal in the offseason. Rourke led Ohio to bowl eligibility in each of the last two seasons, compiling an overall team record of 20-7 across the two years.

Rourke’s ability at quarterback has been spectacular for Indiana football. The team leader has passed for a completion rate of 73.8%, throwing for 1,752 passing yards, 14 passing touchdowns and two rushing touchdowns. All of this has been accomplished in just six games of work.

Not only has Rourke looked good on the field, but he’s made his pass catchers excel throughout the season. Seven of Indiana football’s pass catchers have found the end zone on receiving touchdown passes this season.

PFF’s ranking was posted several days after Indiana football took down Northwestern on the road, 41-24.

Rourke exploded for 380 passing yards in the victory, completing 25 passes on 33 attempts, tossing three passing touchdowns.

Following the conference win over Northwestern, Rourke reflected on head coach Curt Cignetti’s locker room message to the team.

“Coach talked about keeping that chip on the shoulder. I think it’s very important.”

Rourke later added his expectation for him and his team for the foreseeable future.

“We’ve had a great first half of the season but we got a big second half as well, so we gotta keep that chip on, know that there’s going to be doubters no matter what and continue to come out ready to work and not get complacent.”

Rourke and his offense will be put to the test next Sunday, October 19, as Indiana hosts Nebraska, playing in a well recognized Fox noon kickoff.
