Big Ten Media Days have started ahead of the 2024-25 college basketball season, and with that, the yearly media poll has been released. After a massive offseason for Indiana basketball, the Hoosiers have been picked to finish second in the Big Ten only behind Purdue.

The unofficial poll was organized by Adam Jardy of the Columbus Dispatch and Zach Osterman of the IndyStar. It surveyed 33 media members covering teams across the Big Ten conference to get their predictions for the upcoming season.

Indiana basketball is coming off of a disappointing season where they finished 19-13 overall and 10-10 in conference play. As a result, Mike Woodson completely overhauled the roster adding six players to the roster via the transfer portal.

Those additions led Indiana basketball to have one of the best transfer classes in the county. Oumar Ballo, Myles Rice, Kanaan Carlyle, and Luke Goode were some of the key additions expected to make a major impact this season.

In addition to the transfers, Indiana basketball returned key players like Malik Reneau, Trey Galloway, Mackenzie Mgbako, Gabe Cupps, and Anthony Leal.

The mix of new and returning talent has led to high expectations for the Hoosiers this season.
