While most of the IU basketball targets in the 2025 class have come and gone, there is one that is still an active recruit for the Hoosiers and there was a recent development in his recruitment.

2025 7-foot center Leo Curtis was on campus on Monday for IU’s Big Ten opener against Minnesota. Indiana extended a scholarship offer to Curtis in October and the communication and mutual interest has seen an uptick. This weekend was another step in the relationship.

Curtis plays for Cambridge Arts, Technology and Science Academy (CATS) in Massachusetts in the NEPSAC league — a very competitive league in the northeast. This is his first season in the Unites States, however, originally from Iceland.

Curtis holds offers from Creighton, Alabama, West Virginia, Arizona State, Xavier, Stanford and others.

While playing for the Icelandic Subway League last season, Curtis averaging 15 points and shot above 40 percent from three. He’s a versatile forward who has a very skilled game for his size and age. At this point, he’s much more comfortable playing facing the basket and using his athleticism, skill and touch to score.

He also played for Iceland in the U20 Euro Championships, averaging 5.3 points, 4.1 rebounds and 1.1 blocks per game.

IU basketball has one commit in the 2025 class as 4-star forward Trent Sisley signed with the Hoosiers last month during the early signing period.
