The Indiana football program is set to host a significant visitor this weekend for a visit.

On Thursday, Pete Nakos of On3 Sports reported that former Notre Dame starting center Pat Coogan would be making the trip to Bloomington on Friday to visit Indiana football.

Coogan was one of the leaders of the Notre Dame offensive line which was one of the best units in the country.

As a team Notre Dame averaged 200.9 rushing yards per game and totaled 45 rushing touchdowns in 16 games en route to a National Championship appearance.

247Sports ranked Coogan as a four-star transfer and the No. 62 player in the 2025 transfer portal class.

The 6-foot-5, 310-pound offensive lineman has started games at center and left guard for Notre Dame and would be able to make a major impact on the Indiana football offensive line if he chooses the Hoosiers.

After losing starting center and captain Mike Katic, Coogan would fill a clear need on the Indiana football offensive line.

Palos Heights, IL native also has scheduled a visit to Michigan on Saturday as he looks to find his next school for the 2025 season.

Coogan has one year of eligibility remaining after playing in 30 games for Notre Dame.

Curt Cignetti and Indiana football have already added Ohio State transfer Zen Michalski in the transfer portal as they look to rebuild the offensive line that helped lead one of the nation’s best rushing attacks.
