IU football and Curt Cignetti have garnered national attention after their dominant road win against UCLA last weekend.

Not only did the Hoosiers find themselves receiving votes in the AP Poll, but former Colts punter and ESPN personality Pat McAfee gave high praise to Cignetti during the Pat McAfee show on Monday.

“Don’t look now. [Cignetti] down at IU is doing things. Google me. I f***ing win. That’s what I do,” McAfee said during the show.

McAfee was praising Cignetti’s viral quote from the beginning of the season.

After IU Football beat UCLA 42-13, the buzz that surrounded Cignetti and his fiery personality has turned into a belief from fans and media alike.

A win this weekend against Charlotte would push IU Football to 4-0 and match their best start this century. Only the 2020 and 2015 teams have started 4-0 this century.

“Cig’s the real deal,” McAfee said. “Cignetti is a dog and has done everything he said he was gonna do with the IU Hoosiers.”

From the moment Cignetti came to Bloomington, he said he was going to turn the program around and build IU Football into a national brand. The dominant win against UCLA was just the start for Cignetti and IU Football.

Cignetti and IU Football have quickly turned the page as they get ready for their week four matchup against Charlotte this Saturday.
