Indiana football started off the Curt Cignetti with a dominating 31-7 win over the FIU Golden Panthers on Saturday.
While there were some bumps along the way, the Hoosiers showed off their incredible depth in the skill position showing all the weapons that have. The running back room showed a ton of balance and depth however it was the wide receiver room that caught the eyes of many in Indiana’s win over FIU.
One of those players in the wide receiver group that stood out on Saturday was senior wideout Mile Cross. During Saturday’s Indiana football win, Cross was able to snag four catches for 29 total yards.
While the stat line does not jump off the page, it was the plays that Cross was making on the field that stood out, with one in particular lading on SportsCenter’s Top 10 Plays from Saturday.
With Indiana football backed up on a 3rd-and-21 attempt, Kurtis Rourke found Cross was an incredible one-handed catch over a defender to get Indiana the first down and eventually their third touchdown of the game.
