Live, running blog of Indiana football vs Nebraska in week eight of the college football season as the Hoosiers look to improve to 7-0.

After a much needed bye week, Indiana football returns to the field this Saturday for their annual homecoming contest. The Hoosiers come into this game as the No. 16 ranked team in the country with a chance to improve to 7-0 this season with a possible win over Nebraska.

The Cornhuskers come into the contest 5-1 on the year looking to become bowl eligible with a win over Indiana football.

Kick off at 12:00 p.m. ET on FOX.

Below is the full, live running blog of today’s game.

First Quarter

Nebraska wins the toss and will take the ball in the 2nd half. Indiana football with the ball first.

Indiana starts with the ball on the 25-yard line.

Kurtis Rourke starts with a short pass to Justice Ellison. 6-yards.

Justice Ellison just exploded for a 43-yard rush.

Indiana football goes for it on 4th down in the redzone and they get it. 1st-and-goal.

TOUCHDOWN INDIANA

Five-yard rush by Justice Ellison. He was phenomenal that drive. Already at 48-yards on the day. Indiana leads 7-0 with 9:35 left in 1Q.

Nebraska starts on the 1-yard line. This Indiana defense is in prime position for this sequence.

Indiana football’s defense forces a punt. Hoosiers start the second drive on the Nebraska 45-yard line.

Indiana football calls their first timeout at the 5:49 mark in the 1Q. They have the ball on the NEB26 and are in a 4th-and-2 situation.

Kurtis Rourke gets sacked and they turn the ball over on downs.

Nebraska gaining some momentum after stopping Indiana football’s offense.

Indiana’s defense is doing a really good job of clogging up the middle. Nebraska has not been able to get much going in that area.

Fumble on the play and Indiana football recovers it. Major stop for the Hoosiers!

End 1Q: Indiana football 7, Nebraska 0

Second Quarter

Indiana football start the second quarter with a 28-yard completion to Elijah Sarratt.

Rourke follows it up with a 36-yard pass to Omar Cooper and then a 7-yard pass to Myles Price for a touchdown.

Hoosiers up 14-0 with 13:37 left in the first half.

Nebraska stinging together a good drive again.

Indiana football with a couple big penalties this drive that has kept Nebraska alive.

7-yard rush from Nebraska RB Jacory Barney. Hoosiers now lead 14-7 with 7:40 left in the half.

Justice Ellison starts the next Indiana football drive with a 12-yard rush.

Roughing the passer called on Nebraska and Indiana gets a 1st-and-Goal. Ball on the 3-yard line.

Touchdown Ty Son Lawton! Indiana leads 21-7 with 3:47 left in the half.

Indiana football forces a stop. Hoosiers have the ball with 2:26 left in the half.

Justice Ellison with his second TD of the game. 31-yard right up the middle. Indiana football leads 28-7 with 1:09 left. 

At the half: Indiana football 28, Nebraska 7

Third Quarter

Nebraska ball to start the 2nd half.

Cornhuskers with a strong drive to start the second half.

Indiana with a HUGE interception from Shawn Asbury II who ran it back for 79-yard to put Indiana in prime scoring position.

Tayven Jackson in for Kurtis Rourke.

Jackson find Miles Cross for a easy 2-yard Touchdown. Indiana up 35-7 with 6:25 left in the 3Q.

Another interception from Dylan Raiola with Indiana’s Jamier Johnson snagging it.

Tayven Jackson remaining at QB. Little worrisome no sign of Rourke.

Elijah Sarratt makes an insane catch in the endzone from Jackson to bump the Indiana football lead to 42-7.

End 3Q: Indiana football 42, Nebraska 7

Fourth Quarter

False start for Nebraska to start the final quarter. They follow it up with a timeout.

Indiana football defense forces a turnover-on-downs.

Nebraska head coach Matt Rhule just got called for an unsportsmanlike penalty.

And thats another Indiana football touchdown. 10-yard rush by RB Kaelon Black. Hoosiers up 49-7.

Fight broke out after that Indiana sack. Looks like everything is calmed down now. No flags surprisingly.

First punt of the game for Indiana football. 6:17 left.

Another Indiana football interception. That is number three on the day.

Indiana football scores yet another touchdown. 1-yard rush from Elijah Green.

Indiana football up 56-7 with 3:45 left.
