The Indiana football program is not done recruiting and trying to add talent to its roster for next season. On Tuesday, a new name popped up on its recruiting radar through the transfer portal.

University of Albany defensive back Aamir Hall entered the portal last week and has now started to receive interest from some power five programs. According to 247Sports national analyst Matt Zenitz, Indiana football and Syracuse are two schools that have emerged as potential landing spots for Hall.

Hall was an FCS All-American last season after totaling 63 tackles, 13 passes defended and five interceptions.

He played just one season at Albany after two years at Richmond.

Coming out of high school, Hall had offers from Air Force, Army, Maine, Georgetown and numerous other FCS programs.

The 6-foot-1 and 201-pound Hall has great instincts and quickness that allows him to jump numerous passing lanes. That’s a major reason for his ability to to remain in the route no matter what happens before the ball is released. He has good length and strength that allows him to play up on a receiver or sag off and still be able to make up ground. Hall is very good in one-on-one coverage and even better if he can watch the quarterbacks eyes and lay low in a zone.

Between high school and the transfer portal, Indiana football head coach Curt Cignetti added 38 players with the 2024 recruiting class.

Spring Practice is set to begin later this month with its spring game set for Thursday, April 18.
