The latest member of the Indiana basketball alumni TBT team was announced on Wednesday and it was a major name — Jordan Hulls.

Hulls will be joining Yogi Ferrell, Juwan Morgan, Devonte Green, Miller Kopp and Troy Williams who have been announced previously. His official role will be ‘player/coach’.

Hulls, who is currently a member of the Indiana basketball coaching staff, spent nine years playing professionally overseas. He was named Player of the Year and MVP multiple seasons. He was named season MVP of the FIBA Europe Cup during the 2018-19 season for S. Oliver Würzburg.

A Bloomington native, Hulls spent four years at Indiana from 2009-13 and was part of the 2012-13 Big Ten regular season championship year — the first in 20 years. That year, Indiana also made its second-straight Sweet Sixteen and was the top-ranked team in the country for the majority of the season.

He finished his career 30th on the all-time scoring list with 1,318 points, fourth in career 3-point percentage (44.1 percent), and third in career free throw percentage (85.9 percent). He earned honorable mention All-Big Ten honors in 2012 and 2013.

Hulls was a standout at Bloomington South High School where he was named Indiana’s Mr. Basketball and Indiana Gatorade Player of the Year in 2009.

This won’t be Hulls’ first TBT, however. He played for Armored Athlete in 2015, 2016 and 2017.

TBT will have eight regions across the country from July 19th-July 24th and one semifinals/championship site. The Assembly Ball team will be playing at Hinkle Fieldhouse in Indianapolis on July 19-23.

The winning team receives $1M split up between the team members, all earning a different ‘salary’ amount.

Assembly Ball begins play on July 19 at 8:00 pm.
