Indiana basketball signee Liam McNeeley turned in a terrific performance on national television in a top-10 matchup at the Hoophall Classic on Sunday night.

In a game that featured a dozen ranked and high-major prospects, no player had a better performance than Liam McNeeley. The future Indiana basketball wing had a game-high 22 points on 8-of-12 from the field and 4-of-5 from three. He added three rebounds, three assists and two steals as No. 1 Montverde took down No. 7 Prolific Prep 76-71.

McNeeley was named the game MVP for his performance.

In a game that featured the No. 1 overall prospects in the 2024, 2025 and 2026 classes it was McNeeley who got off to an early start. He had two 3s in the first two minutes and nine first quarter points. He went on to have 11 first-half points.

In the second half, McNeeley showed his all-around scoring ability. It was highlighted by a monstrous two-handed dunk after a screen on the left side of the floor. He showed the ability to score off of the dribble, maneuvering his way through the defense numerous times in the paint with great body control and soft touch. McNeeley was terrific moving without the ball and even had two more potential scoring opportunities where a teammate missed a wide open pass.

Scouts and executives from nearly every NBA team were in attendance.

McNeeley and Montverde have played five NIBC league games. McNeeley is averaging 13.8 points and shooting 55.6 percent (15-of-27) on 3s. He ranks second in made 3s in the league and third in percentage.

McNeeley’s teammate and top Indiana basketball target in the 2024 class, Derik Queen, had a very strong performance as well. Queen had 18 points on 7-of-11 shooting with six rebounds. While he struggled with foul trouble in the second half, he was nearly unguardable when he received a paint touch.

Montverde is now 18-0 on the season and 34-1 in the last 35 games. The last loss came 290 days ago.
