The Indiana basketball program hits the hardwood for game number eight of the 2024-25 season on Tuesday night and released its official injury report this afternoon.
The Big Ten began with its weekly availability report for football and basketball last season. Programs will have to release their injury reports 2-3 hours before tip.
Indiana had guards Kanaan Carlyle and Gabe Cupps listed on the availability report, both as out.
Indiana sophomore guard Kanaan Carlyle will miss his second straight game, according to Mike Woodson. Carlyle has missed the last two days of practice after sitting out Friday’s win over Providence.
Woodson didn’t describe the extent of his injury but said he ‘hopes’ to have his sophomore guard back in the lineup soon.
The 6-foot-3 guard has struggled to find a rhythm with Indiana this season, averaging 4.5 points on 27 percent shooting and 25 percent from three. Carlyle’s best game this season — and only game scoring in double figures — was against South Carolina. He had 12 points on 5-of-9 from the floor in 24 minutes.
The other five games he’s combined for just 15 points on 5-of-28 from the field.
He’s also been held scoreless in two games.
Cupps will miss his second game this season. He has appeared in just four games this season, however.
Cupps is averaging just 6.3 minutes a game this season after averaging 21.7 minutes last year — with 22 starts.
Indiana basketball is 5-2 and takes the floor at 7:30 pm on BTN on Tuesday.
